Worsted wool (Herdwick?)

I have been testing many different types of wool and find that worsted wool is extremely effective for wind and water ressistance whilst being very light, however my problem is that there are not many if any producers that are transparent and dedicated to make something good. Ideally this would be made of hedwick as it dries quicker than any other wool (as far as im aware) and is on the thicker and longer end of the spectrum which would make the fabric more durable and effective (also herdwick are just cool). Also Im curious to see a thicker weight of worsted wool as most are quite thin and lightweight, however I theorise that a thick worsted wool would be the ultimate fabric for weather resistance. (I believe worsted wool is so weatherproof becuse of the long very twisted yarns very densly woven which leaves no gaps for water to seep in).
