How is stonewashed linen made?

Stonewashed linen is exceptionally soft linen that gains its remarkable delicacy and pleasant hand feel through a special softening process.

Traditionally, stonewashed linen was washed for many hours with pumice stones. Today, this process is mostly carried out using special enzyme-based treatments that soften the fibers effectively.

The result is a delicate linen fabric, free from the roughness typical of raw linen, while still retaining its natural durability and breathability. Stonewashed linen drapes beautifully from the very first wear, requires no “breaking in,” and is perfect wherever comfort is just as important as appearance.

Textured linen – the historical aesthetic of a modern fabric

Textured linen stands out for its distinctive, irregular surface. It is a linen fabric with randomly placed thicker threads that create subtle slubs, giving it a pronounced, rustic character.

Thanks to this, it closely resembles historical linen, once produced by hand, where irregularities were a natural result of the artisan’s work. This effect gives the fabric an authentic, lively, and refined look, perfectly suited to designs inspired by the past.

How can textured linen be used?

This type of linen is extremely versatile:
